The Lewis & Graves Team
Staff training is one of the key elements to the success of this company.
As an organisation Lewis & Graves is totally committed to the training of its staff at all levels. To meet this requirement it has a dedicated training team led by Len Page, MBICSc, who has 40 years experience in the cleaning industry, both in the private and public sectors.
In 1989 the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) appointed Len to the position of moderator for both the Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate (COPC) and the Food Premises Cleaning Certificate (FPCC) schemes.
The following year Len was asked to join the Training & Education Committee for the BICSc, to assist in the development of the COPC scheme and to help raise the profile of the industry through training.
Len was instrumental in the development of the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Building Cleaning Interiors for City & Guilds.
During his career Len has trained cleaners, supervisors and managers at a wide variety of establishments that include:
The House of Parliament, including Portcullis House
European Air Catering
Hospitals
Government Institutions
Educational establishments: Universities, colleges, comprehensive, primary and nursery schools
Local Authorities: Hammersmith & Fulham, Barking & Dagenham, Tower Hamlets & Newham
A number of Her Majesty's prisons
As Head of Cleaning Services for a local authority Len worked closely with the council’s Health & Safety Team, developing policies, procedures and health & safety training courses for cleaners, supervisors & managers. His experience and knowledge is an asset to all the staff at Lewis & Graves and its customers.
The other members of the team are Jason King, Tony Turner and Jason Eves, with over 37 years experience between them working in the cleaning industry. The wealth of knowledge and skills they have gained is now being passed on to our staff through our training régime.
All the members of the team are qualified to train and assess to the British Institute of Cleaning Science Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate scheme’s standards.
Their experience is only matched by their commitment to raising standards through training.
