Wet weather barrier matting

80% of all soil brought into any building is foot-borne, so without effective barrier matting to remove the soil, it will track off throughout the building. The effects of this will be that carpets will become impregnated with dirt, reducing the appearance and life of the carpet. On hard floors the dirt and grit will attack the surface of the floor, eventually breaking down any protective coating that has been applied — especially in the high traffic areas such as corridors.

In bad weather you have a number of problems: rain, ice and snow.

Ineffective matting can lead to major slip problems on hard floors. If the majority of the water is not removed at the entrance it will track off over some distance, causing a slip problem through out the building, putting people at risk.

Our barrier matting service may seem like a luxury, but an accident claim can prove costly.

Barrier matting is no different than any other matting in the respect that if it is not effectively cleaned, not just a quick vacuum, it will become saturated and then be unable to remove particles of soil from people’s feet. If you have barrier matting in place, how effective is it?

We can offer you a barrier matting service in conjunction with FPS Matting.
Normally a 12 month rental agreement is required for the standard matting service. We can offer you the matting in various colours: mink, cobalt blue or red.

We will undertake to exchange the matting within one working day of the agreed time. Should circumstances under our control lead to service failure,
we will voluntarily credit our weekly charge for the entire week concerned.

The only exception to this service guarantee is where public holidays interrupt the normal service.
